• Learn about Maasai conservation projects
• Perfect combination of exploration and relaxation
• Big game country

Day 1 - London/Nairobi

Fly from London-Heathrow with British Airways to Nairobi where upon arrival you will be met by an A&K representative and driven to the famous Norfolk Hotel. This suggested itinerary only allows for an overnight, so relax after your flight with a few drinks at one of Nairobi’s favourite meeting places, the Norfolk Hotel’s Delamere Terrace. Freshly renovated, the hotel is richly deserving of its popular appeal.

Day 2 - Nairobi/Loisaba

Following an early morning transfer to Wilson Airport, take a short flight north to the Laikipia Plateau, the views out of the plane window are memorable as you see the landscapes change below. Loisaba, a working ranch and conservation area will be your base for the next three nights. This exclusive lodge is perched high on the edge of a plateau looking towards Mount Kenya, with views extending for hundreds of miles.

Days 3 to 4 - Loisaba

Enjoy the following two full days within the Laikipia Plateau, not a National Park but a vast area of grassland bordered by Samburu, the Rift Valley and Mount Kenya. Huge ranches such as Loisaba have been transformed into private game reserves and working together with local tribes’, community projects have formed a vast wildlife conservation haven. Stand on your veranda and look down at the water hole, you are sure to see some incredible wildlife sightings.

Day 5 - Loisaba/Masai Mara

As you bid a sad farewell to Loisaba look forward to the next chapter in your adventure as you fly to the Masai Mara where you will spend three nights at Rekero Tented Camp. Possibly the best known game park in Kenya, the Masai Mara borders the northern edge of the Serengeti. Here you can see wide varieties and vast volumes of wildlife. There are breathtaking vistas of rolling grasslands, distant hills, scattered acacia woodlands and riverine bush. Rekero is perfectly located near the confluence of the Mara and Talek Rivers inside the Masai Mara Game Reserve, and as such is a seasonal camp, only open June-October and December-March.

Days 6 to 7 - Masai Mara

This is big game country and your expectations are likely to be far exceeded during your stay. Explore these fabled plains on game drives and under the watchful eye of legendary naturalist Jackson. Rekero also offers walking safaris, night-drives and visits to the local Ildorobo and Maasai communities.

Day 8 - Masai Mara /London

Depart the Masai Mara on a flight to Nairobi, upon arrival you will be tranfered to the Norfolk Hotel where a day room will be ready for you to freshen up. An afternoon transfer will take you to the airport for your connection to London-Heathrow with British Airways, arriving early the following morning.
