Day 1 - Cairo/Alexandria

Transfer by road from Cairo to Alexandria, Egypt’s cosmospolitan second city for a stay at the classically elegant Four Seasons Hotel Alexandria at San Stefano. See the collection includes thousands of items such as papyrus scrolls, ancient perfume bottles and painted mummy cases spanning from the Pharaonic Era through Greco-Roman times, to the Modern Era at the Alexandria National Museum.

Day 2 - Alexandria

Tour the city and visit the Montazah Palace Gardens, surrounding the summer palace of Khedive Ismail II. See the eerie Catacombs of Kom el-Shuga, the citadel of Bey and famed Pompey’s Pillar. Enjoy an optional visit to The Bibliotheca Alexandrina, which is not only a library, but also an integrated cultural complex, with libraries, museums and exhibition areas.

Day 3 - Alexandria

Drive through the unprepossessing industrial outskirts of Alexandria and into the desert to El Alamein, scene of one of the decisive battles of World War II. The Military Museum displays a collection of uniforms, memorabilia and pictorial material relating to the Battle of El Alamein and the North African campaigns in general. A visit to the Allied War Cemetery, last resting place of thousands of British, Commonwealth and Allied soldiers who died in the 12 day battle is a moving experience.

Day 4 - Alexandria/Cairo

Head back to Cairo for your final night at the Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at The First Residence. For the finale of your Egyptian journey, allow us to prebook the colourful spectacle of the Sound and Light show at the pyramids in the early evening.

Day 5 - Cairo/London

After breakfast transfer to Cairo Airport for your flight home to London arriving early afternoon.
