Day
1 - London/Tripoli
Arrive to Libya’s
capital in style with British Airways and
transfer to the Corinthia Bab Africa Hotel
located on the seafront.
Day 2 -
Tripoli/Leptis/Sabha
With your guide visit
the Roman World Heritage site of Leptis
Magna showcasing abundant examples of
lavish decoration. See the red granite
facade of the Nymphaeum and after a stop
for lunch see the Amphitheatre, one of the
oldest stone theatres in the Roman world.
Enjoy an early dinner before transferring
to Tripoli domestic airport for your short
flight to Sabha and an overnight stay.
Day 3 - Sabha/Takarkiba
Drive to Sabha, the
largest oasis and the major city in the
Fezzan region. Enjoy the quiet and
peaceful atmosphere between the golden
sand dunes, green palm trees, clear psring
waters and the ancient ruins that surround
it. After lunch visit the lakes of
Gabraoun, one of the largest of the
Saharan lakes and Mafo nestling against a
high reidge of sand. Drive to our camp at
Takarkiba in the desert, where dinner will
be served in the campsite under the stars.
Day 4 -
Takarkiba/Germa/Sabha/Tripoli
Visit Germa to see the
old city, Germa Museum and the remains of
pyramid-style burial sites and other
funerary buildings. Drive to Sabha for a
round trip of Sabha City and a chance to
dine at one of the local restaurants
before your flight back to Tripoli.
Day 5 - Tripoli/London
Explore the art and
architecture of the Red Castle fortress,
formerly the seat of power and which now
dominates the skyline of Tripoli. Tour the
many galleries of the museum and discover
the old city of Tripoli, considered to be
a live example of a typical Islamic city.
Head to the airport for your flight to
London-Heathow.
