Day 3 - Buenos Aires

Today, enjoy a chronological experience, starting with the historical areas of Buenos Aires and tracing the history that shaped this amazing city. Start at La Boca, the tough port area of Italian immigration and home to football giants Boca Juniors, and move on to colonial San Telmo, with its famous cobbled streets and legendary antique shops. Continue to the Plaza de Mayo and Casa Rosada, before enjoying a brief underground ride and finishing with pastries and coffee at the classic Café Tortoni.

Day 4 - Buenos Aires

Day at leisure to enjoy this fascinating city. Options include a day trip by hydrofoil to Colonia del Sacramento, situated just across the River Plate in Uruguay, the services of a personal shopper for the day to enjoy the ‘shoppers paradise’ that is Buenos Aires, or take a tango class from Tony Award Winners Mayoral and Elsa María.

Day 5 - Buenos Aires/El Calafate

Morning flight to El Calafate, the gateway to the stunning, yet wild, Los Glaciares National Park, deep in the heart of Patagonia. Three nights at Casa de Los Sauces, an authentic Patagonian lodge and ideal base from where to explore the beauty and excitement of the surrounding area.

Day 6 - El Calafate

Enjoy a breathtaking tour to Perito Moreno Glacier, a highlight on anyone’s visit to Argentina. A boat trip takes you close to the 180-foot high and three-mile wide ice wall, whilst an easy glacier trek with crampons actually allows you onto the 20-mile long glacier.

Day 7 - El Calafate

Today you are at leisure to enjoy a wealth of local activities or just relax at the lodge or in the spa. Alternatively, we have included a full day glaciers tour, which takes you by boat to marvel at the Onelli and Upsala Glaciers, Upsala being the largest in South America covering an area of 500 square miles. En route, you will pass icebergs of different shapes and sizes and wonder in amazement at the sheer deep blue of Lago Argentino.

Day 8 - El Calafate/Bariloche
