Day 1- Chyulu Hills, Ol Donyo Wuas
On arrival into Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you will be met by an Adams & Butler representative who will transfer you to Wilson Airport. Here you will meet with the pilot of your private charter who will fly you directly to the Chyulu Hills. The flight is approximately 45 minutes. On arrival, you will be met by a driver-guide and taken to the lodge. Ol Donyo Wuas is situated on the slopes of the Chyulu Hills, with exclusive access to a quarter of a million acres of one of the few remaining wilderness areas of East Africa. The open plains, rolling Chyulu Hills and snow capped peak of Kilimanjaro invoke images of Africa as it was in the earlier part of the last century; wildlife and Maasai herdsman living as nature determined they should in this unspoilt corner of Kenya. Shared game drives in open Land Rovers with knowledgeable guides, both during the day and at night. Game walks with an experienced guide on the spectacular open plains, in the Acacia woodland and the volcanic hills. Horse riding for both experienced riders and novices. Bush Breakfasts and Bush Dinners, visits to the Maasailand Preservation Trust Projects or a dip in the Horizon swimming pool looking out to Mt Kilimanjaro are some of the activities on offer.

Day 4– Laikipia, Sabuk Lodge
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airstrip for the Safari Link scheduled flight from the Chyulu’s back to Wilson, here you will connect with the Safari Link scheduled flight to Laikipia. On arrival you will be met and transferred to Sabuk Lodge. Sabuk is a stunning wilderness destination perched up on the high banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River with six beautifully furnished open sided cottages with en-suite bathrooms and open verandah’s overlooking the river. Activities include day and night game drives, guided bush walks, bush meals, sundowners, fishing, a dip in the swimming pool or for the more adventurous, a cool refreshing dip in the effervescent river right below the lodge.

Day 5– Laikipia, Sabuk Camel Safari, Fly camping
After an early breakfast the Samburu Warriors prepare their camel train for your trek taking you through this stunning terrain up and over the gentle hills of Sabuk. The trek can be designed to be as easy or tough as you wish. Your days will be spent trekking through the bush with a team ahead of you preparing surprises along the way. At the end of a long and exhilarating day you will walk into camp where a delicious meal has been prepared for you and tents have been assembled for a well deserved rest. The next morning you will continue on your adventure through the un-spoilt wilderness with its natural inhabitants.

Day 7– Laikipia, Koija Starbeds
Continuing with an early walk and bush breakfast you will be taken to the Koija star beds where your Samburu Warrior hosts will be waiting for you. Located on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River, the Star beds are cantilevered over the flowing river below and are reached by footbridge from the opposite bank. Each Star Bed is a dramatically designed, handcrafted wooden raised platform, and partially covered with a thatched roof. Homemade ‘Mukokoteni’ (uniquely designed bed on wheels’), can either be wheeled onto the open deck area for a night under the stars, or left under the shelter of the roof.

Day 8– Laikipia, Loisaba Lodge
This morning you can choose to be transferred to Loisaba Lodge by foot, horseback, mountain bike, quad bike or perhaps start the day with a hot air balloon ride ending with a champagne breakfast – the choice is yours. Loisaba Lodge has 7 en-suite rooms with decks overlooking panoramic Laikipia. A beautiful setting with activities including swimming pool, tennis court, a spa, day and night game drives to name but a few…

Day 9 – Masai Mara, Elephant Pepper Camp
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airstrip for the Safari Link scheduled flight to the Masai Mara departing at 11h50. You will be met at the airstrip and transferred to Elephant Pepper Camp. Accommodation is booked for 3 nights on a full board basis. The Masai Mara offers a true wildlife experience, one that is hard to duplicate anywhere else in the world. Elephant Pepper Camp is in Koiyaki Community Ranch on the border of the Masai Mara. At camp we bring you back to nature; no generator, no traffic, no permanent structures, just the sights and sounds of the bush with all the luxuries you need. Each of the eight tents are ensuite. Sitting around a campfire discussing your unforgettable ‘finds’ of the day is an experience all want to repeat. Activities include day & night game drives, bush walks, bush meals, sundowners and cultural visits.

Day 12 – Depart
After a last game drive in the Masai Mara, catch the 11h00 Safarilink flight back to Nairobi. A Adams & Butler representative will meet and transfer you to your Nairobi hotel or to the international airport for your journey home
