3 Countries Safari - Botswana l Namibia

Our Circuits, Packages and Specials > 3 Countries Safari / 6 Nights

Day 1 & 2

Transfer by road from Kasane Airport TO Kasane Immigration to meet your onward boat transfer to Impalila Island Lodge, for 2 nights.

Nestled close to the junction of four countries - Namibia, Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe - and near the meeting place of the mighty Zambezi and Chobe Rivers, Impalila Island Lodge is a water-bound wonderland. With over 100km of waterways to traverse, Impalila lies a mere 80km upriver from the Victoria Falls. Surrounded by rippling beds of pink-tinged water lilies, the lodge lies protectively beneath the branches of a 700 year-old Baobab tree under which, it is said, David Livingstone camped. Eight luxury en-suite chalets all with river views echo the colours of Africa. Our seductive rivers invite you to explore further. Encounter Africa's big game and birdlife by boat or challenge the legendary tigerfish on fly. Follow the island's footpaths for an intriguing village visit and learn of the medicinal uses of the indigenous plant life. With only 8 thatched chalets, with private terrace & river view, here lies promise of excitement by day; tranquillity by night.

Includes: All meals | tea/coffee & snacks | transfers to/from Kasane Immigration | 1 x Chobe river cruise, which can be taken on either day | A choice of 1 activity per day from the following: Zambezi Sunset Cruise, Guided Walk, Cultural Tour or Fishing (fly fishing equipment not included) | Park Fees | Drinks on activities | Laundry

Day 3 & 4

Transfer by boat & road to Kasane Immigration. You will be met for your road transfer to Elephant Valley Lodge (Botswana), for 2 nights.

The Chobe region is home to the largest population of wild elephant in the world. This is estimated to be approximately 120,000 individuals. Their sometimes daily passage takes them from Zimbabwe through the Chobe and on into Namibia before returning. Elephant Valley Lodge lies along one of these routes and is situated in the Kasane Forest, which is adjacent to the Chobe National Park.  Open guest areas, a secluded hide, refreshing swimming pool and 20 ‘meru styled’ tents complete the lodge which lies beneath a forest of sturdy knob thorns. It is within these tree tops that the largest colony of white back vultures occurs. The lodge is unique for several reasons and amongst these is the fact that it is situated within a game rich reserve affording the guests wonderful sightings between our open landrover safaris into the Chobe and boat cruises along the Chobe River.

Includes: All meals | tea/coffee & snacks | transfers to/from the border posts | 2 Activities per day i.e. morning boat cruise & afternoon game drive in Chobe National Park | Park Fees | Drinks on Activities | Laundry

Day 5 & 6

After breakfast you will be transferred by road from Elephant Valley Lodge to Susuwe Island Lodge, where once again you will clear Namibia Immigration formalities en-route. The road transfer takes approximately 3 ½ hours and takes you via Katima Mulilo until Kongola check-point. At Kongola check-point a Susuwe guide will collect you for your road transfer to the lodge.

Susuwe Island Lodge offers visitors the opportunity to experience closely a wild and untouched island of Africa. Situated in north-eastern Namibia, our island is in the remote Kwando River - a permanent water source which nourishes delicate ecosystems and sustains varied game and birdlife. Relaxation, privacy and comfort are paramount here. Susuwe Island Lodge is built to incorporate the riverine forest - the main complex has lofty canopy viewing decks overlooking endless savannahs, glistening lily-studded wetlands and ancient Kalahari woodlands, as well as a firepit, spacious lounge and dining areas, curio shop and small reference library.

Six spacious brick and thatch suites equipped with double bathroom, bedroom, lounge and wooden viewing deck each with private plunge pool offer our visitors the opportunity to merge unhurriedly with Africa's timeless evolution of hazy days and star-studded nights. Mosquito nets, overhead fans and hairdryers as well as generated electricity are provided.

At Susuwe game drives in open 4 x 4 vehicles in the Bwabwata National Park. Game sightings in this cradle of rivers could include vast herds of roaming elephant and buffalo, lion, hippo, leopard, sable, roan and lechwe for example. Night drives at Susuwe offer an even closer insight into the intrigue of the African bush.

Includes: All meals | tea/coffee and snacks plus house wine with Dinner | Transfers to and from the Border posts | Drinks on activities | Park Fees | 2 daily activities – a choice between a game drive, boat cruise or Cultural visit | Laundry service
