DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1:
On arrival at Lusaka, connect with flight to Royal Airstrip in the Lower Zambezi. Meet and greet on the airstrip by Chiawa followed by a short road transfer and a 10 minute boat cruise to Chiawa Camp. 

4 nights at Chiawa Camp.

CHIAWA CAMP - Located deep inside the Lower Zambezi National Park on the banks of the Zambezi River, Chiawa Camp has a reputation for professional and personal service, a friendly atmosphere and excellent game viewing. Chiawa Camp remains the foremost safari camp in the Lower Zambezi and has been voted as one of Africa’s top ten safari camps. Resting peacefully on the riverbank, in a grove of mahogany and acacia trees, Chiawa is constructed essentially of natural materials, and is designed to ensure its idyllic setting can be fully appreciated. All 9 of the luxury safari tents are under thatch, have en-suite facilities with hot & cold running water, twin or double beds, insect screens and solar powered lighting. Daily activities led by highly trained guides include morning and evening game drives in open 4x4 vehicles, walking safaris, canoe trips and motorboat excursions

Days 2 to 4:
Enjoy a wide range of activities including, morning and night game drives, walking safaris, river safaris, canoeing and fishing with expert guides.

Day 5:
Transfer to Royal Airstrip and connect with flight to Lusaka. On arrival at Lusaka clients, connect with onward flight to Mfuwe. Meet and greet at Mfuwe Airport by Bushcamp Company and then a short road transfer to Mfuwe Lodge. Clients have an opportunity to freshen up have a bite to eat before the transfer to camp. 
7 nights in the South Luangwa National Park staying at 3 different camps which are all part of The Bushcamp Company (we suggest staying at Kapamba, Chamilandu and Chindeni for this Classic Safari).

THE BUSHCAMP COMPANY - The South Luangwa Valley is one of Africa's last hidden jewels, where time has stood still. This is where safaris began, in remote rustic bush camps situated in areas of outstanding beauty. There are six different bush camps, all within walking distance of each other, allowing you to choose, either to experience each bush camp, walking through the park by day and camping at a new location each night, or to relax for the entire duration of your stay in the bush camp of your choice. The six bush camps are: Kapamba Camp, Kuyenda Camp, Chamilandu Camp, Chindeni Camp, Bilimungwe Camp, and Zungulila Camp (walking safaris only). 

Days 6 to 11:
The Bushcamp Company camps offer morning and evening game drives and walks. We suggest combining three camps with a minimum of two nights at each.

Day 12:
Transfer to Mfuwe with The Bushcamp Company and connect with flight to Lusaka.
