DETAILED
ITINERARY
DAY 1
On arrival at either
George Airport or Port Elizabeth
Airport, hire a car and transfer to
Kurland Hotel (about a 3 hour drive).
Alternatively a road transfer can be
arranged, but the drive is very easy
and can be done as a self drive. Stay
four nights at the wonderful Kurland
Hotel.
4 NIGHTS:
KURLAND HOTEL

DAYS 2-4
Spend a day exploring
Kurland and the many activities on the
estate. Enjoy the morning at Natures
Valley beach (only 12 kilometres from
the hotel). The untouched stretch of
beach is the perfect viewing point the
Indian Bottle-nosed dolphin and the
Southern Right Whale. Enjoy a family
picnic lunch on the beach and then
choose from one of the many activities
available within a 10 minute drive of
the hotel. Head down to Plettenberg
Bay (about a 20 minute drive from the
hotel) and spend the day enjoying your
choice from the vast array of
watersports and boating activities on
offer. Take in all the activities
along the exciting Cruise the Crags.
DAY 5
Depart Kurland and
drive to Franschhoek along the
beautiful scenic Route 62. Arrive in
Franschhoek late afternoon and check
in to stay four nights at Le Quartier
Français in the family friendly
‘Auberge’ or in the private
Cottage.
4 NIGHTS: LE
QUARTIER FRANÇAIS

DAYS 6-8
Enjoy a day out with
the children, various attractions
nearby include the lion park,
crocodile farm, Butterfly World, join
the childrens’ activities at Spier
or visit to the Toy Museum in
Stellenbosch. Enjoy a Winelands tour
with a wonderful lunch at Bread &
Wine and end off by exploring the
village of Franschhoek. There is the
Screening Room at Le Quartier Francais
where you can all go in the evening to
watch a family movie! Relax, unwind
and spend the day by the pool.
DAY 9
Depart Franschhoek for
Cape Town and return the rental car.
Connect with the daily flight from
Cape Town to KMIA (Nelspruit) followed
by a short Federal Air Shuttle flight
to the Sabi Sand. You will all be met
and transferred to Singita Castleton
Camp by a representative from Singita.
Stay 4 nights at either Singita
Castleton Camp (exclusive use) or the
family suites at Singita Ebony or
Singita Boulders.
4 NIGHTS:
SINGITA CASTLETON

DAYS 10-12
Singita Castleton has
much to offer families. There is a
reed enclosed boma where families can
dine each night under the stars, a
beautiful library, sweeping lawns,
swimming pool, pool table and
trampoline. Parents can take advantage
of the extensive collection of wines
from the Boulders cellar, as well as
the African Trading Store with gym and
health spa at Singita Ebony and
Singita Boulders. Activities include
early morning and afternoon into
evening game drives in open Land
Rovers, guided bush walks, seasonal
fishing and community tours. During
the summer months, a selection of
children’s games and butterfly
catching is offered.
DAY 13
Transfer to Sabi Sand
airstrip early morning and take the
Federal Air Shuttle flight to Oliver
Tambo International Airport in
Johannesburg. Connect with
international flight.
