Once the site of the ancient city-state of Olous, present-day Elounda is a well established and exclusive holiday resort in the Bay of Mirabello, close to both Agios Nikolaos and the old Venetian island of Spinalonga. These luxury villas have featured in numerous magazine articles for their architectural style and interiors.

The Elounda Gulf Villas and Suites complex is a member of the 'Small Luxury Hotels of the World.' The two and three-bedroom Elounda, Aegean and Mediterranean villas have individual swimming pools with jacuzzi and panoramic sea views. The two-bedroom Executive villas and three-bedroom Presidential villas have large private infinity swimming pools with Jacuzzi and jet as well as their own private sauna, Turkish bath and fully equipped gymnasium. The four-bedroom Royal Villa is even more luxuriously equipped, with private sauna, Turkish bath, a larger swimming pool with 2 inbuilt Jacuzzi bathtubs and a private gym room.

All interiors are individually decorated and furnished tastefully, with marble or wooden floors and modern, stylish furniture. Living rooms have open fireplaces, satellite TV and well-equipped kitchens, with indoor dining areas opening out onto shady outdoor dining areas and spacious sun terraces with quality wooden sun beds, and panoramic sea views. Each villa has a master bedroom, always en-suite, while other rooms may share bathrooms.

Facilities include direct-dial telephone, air-conditioning, satellite TV, DVD, a CD-player, a high speed Internet connection, a safe and private parking. Guests also have use of a bar, a luxury a la carte restaurant and the Elixir Fitness Gallery, equipped with gym room, sauna room, steam bath, massage room and outdoor Jacuzzi.
