This superb villa is set in large private grounds, including a grove of 50 mature olive trees, a sea-facing Greek Orthodox chapel, tennis court, boules pitch and croquet lawn, not to mention a 12m x 6m infinity-edge swimming pool. The villa is fully air-conditioned throughout with individual room controls. The main living areas are on the ground floor level, extremely spacious and elegant. The front hall leads into a living room, a library with balcony, a formal dining room and a well-equipped kitchen. Dining and living rooms give onto a large patio with a stone barbeque, dining area and pergola.

The lower ground floor contains a games room with billiards and satellite TV and is linked by dumb waiter to the kitchen, leading onto a patio with dining furniture seating 12 and the pool. There are also two twin/double bedrooms sharing a bathroom, living room and patio and a double and a single bedroom sharing a bathroom which have access to the garden. The three main bedrooms, two doubles and one double that can be made into a twin and all en-suite, are individually themed and set on the first floor. Two of these bedrooms open to balconies while the master bedroom has two en-suites, one with shower and the other with Jacuzzi, and opens onto a large porch.

OPINION
This stunning villa on the Cretan coast is a private home, with antique furnishings and many personal touches. Although the owners have tried to childproof the grounds, some unprotected drops still remain so it's not suitable for small children.

ACCOMMODATION
Three double bedrooms, three twin/doubles and one single bedroom. Maximum 12 guests.

STAFF
Maid service included six days a week.

DISTANCES
Porto Elounda and Elounda Mare Hotel with beach and full watersports are 20 mins walk. Nearest beach 10 mins drive. Heraklion International Airport 55 mins drive.
