Bovey Castle
Bovey Castle is set within 368 square miles of the Dartmoor National Park. The castle offers a private and tranquil haven that is about 150 miles south west of London. ACTIVITIES
The Old Course is a challenging and beautiful championship golf course, designed in 1926 by J F Abercromby, one the the greatest British golf course designers of the Golden Era. It was designed to rival its twins at Gleneagles and Turnberry. The course presents a challenge to professional and amateur alike.
The castle owes 11 miles of fishing on the Rivers Bovey and Teign, affording enjoyable trout, sea trout and salmon fishing. These lovely rivers, along with the castle are set within the boundries of the National Park with its steep valleys, woodland and spectacular scenery.
Each morning the castle's own birds of prey are brought out for guests to enjoy the ancient and royal sport of falconry. Clay pigeon shooting and archery are also available as well as a wide variety of country field sports within the Dartmoor National Park.
