Fenton Tower is a magical work of complete loving and honest restoration - set amongst rolling countryside just 20 miles east of Edinburgh, this 16th Century Castle has been meticulously renovated to vreate luxurious accommodation for up to 12 guests. It is a magnificent Castle and yet it is also intimate and friendly with elegant individually styled bedrooms with en suite bathrooms to the state of the art kitchen. Fenton is so close to Edinburgh and some of the most famous links golf courses, including Murifield which is only about 10 minutes away.

Golf
Fenton Tower is within 20-30 miles of over 100 excellent inland and links golf courses including the historic course of Muirfield which is just 3 miles away and hosted the outstanding 2002 British Open.
Ancestral Homes
The historic Houses of Gosforth, Winton and Lennoxlove are all close at hand within the East Lothian area and together with many other fabulous homes are open to the public and provide a fascinating insight into life of the period and those that lived in these wonderful homes.
Antique Shops
East Lothian and its fascinating coastline is home to a wealth of antique and curio shops all offering the opportunity to find plenty of historic and current objet d'arts.
Bird and Wildlife Watching
The coastline of East Lothian is dotted with plenty of wildlife sanctuaries including the John Muir Trust site at Dunbar which includes the long stretches of silver sands regularly hosting race horses training by the sea. The Bass Rock is home to some of the rarest sea birds around the British Isles and boat trips are regularly organised for group visits.
Distilleries
Although not an area renowned for the production of whisky as perceived throughout the rest of the world, East Lothian is home to the Glenkinchie Distillery which is one of the oldest in the country and gives the most superb visitor experience and tours for groups throughout the year.
Edinburgh
The capital city of Scotland is just a few minutes away from Fenton Tower and can be reached within about a 20 minute drive. Edinburgh has some of Scotland's finest shops, restaurants and galleries, museums, palaces and cathedrals and every August sees the world's largest gathering of the art world at the Edinburgh International Festival and Fringe with the famous Military Tattoo at the Castle.
Fishing Villages
Within a very close distance there are miles of excellent beaches and quaint fishing villages and a choice of interesting places to visit such as historic Dirleton Castle with its beautiful gardens, the Museum of Flight at East Fortune and the Vintage Car Museum at Drem.
Sailing
The rugged coastline of East Lothian provides endless opportunities for sailing, and the Marina on the Firth of Forth provides a deep water haven for larger yachts.
Shooting
There are some superb low ground pheasant and partridge shoots nearby and the Lammermuirs provides some of the finest grouse shooting in Scotland and the north of England. All these activities can be arranged through LTR as part of the concierge service offered to clients.
