Close to the town of Blairgowrie in Perthshire is the stunning Tower of Lethendy. Following a loving restoration lasting some few years, it now offers 21st century luxury in an old and historic setting. This property is in immaculate condition and has facilities rarely seen in Scottish homes!

HISTORY

The original Tower was built in 1570 by Sir David Herring (Heron) of the family of Herring of Drumlochy, probably as a moated Keep or hunting lodge. The Walls of the original building are very thick. Part of the moat on the west side of the house is now part of the garden with large beech trees as the back drop. The daughter of Heron of Lethendy was an ancestor of Graham of Claverhouse, better known locally as "Bonnie Dundee". Extensive additions were made to the old tower edifice in 1885 in the Scottish Baronial style, which forms the mass of the tower today, by a Major Gammell of Drumtochty.
