Magnificent views Large grounds Spacious accommodation, good for families This beautiful chateau is situated on a gently sloping hillside, with extensive views over vineyards and rolling countryside. The property is approached by a private driveway in 14 acres of parkland. The tower, with traces of a secret stairway, dates back to the 12th Century, but the rest of the house was built in the 15th and 16th Centuries. To the rear of the house is a very large terrace with extensive views to countryside and steps leading to the swimming pool (15 x 6m). The interiors have been tastefully restored and are very light and spacious. The main feature of the house is the double volume Great Hall with its lovely curved stone staircase and galleried landing sitting area that opens onto a terrace and courtyard, while the dining room and sitting room are linked by an archway and served by a beautifully-fitted country kitchen. The rooms are attractively decorated and well furnished including many antiques. There is a double en-suite bedroom with four poster bed on the ground floor, and a further three double en-suite bedrooms on the first, galleried floor, plus an adjoining children’s bedroom with original ‘bateau lit’ French beds.

OPINION	A traditional, spacious and charming chateau which would make a good base for holidaying in this unspoilt and rural part of France.

STAFF	Maid service included eight hours a week.
DISTANCES	Gondrin (nearest food shops, bank, PO and restaurant) 5 mins drive, Eauze (with a wider range of shops, restaurants and weekly market) 15 mins, Condom 20 mins, Agen 60 mins Bordeaux/Toulouse 120 mins.
