This beautiful Chateau, dating from the 15th Century, is situated in the village of Celles near Riberac. Its been completely restored, preserving many original features. The spacious grounds contain a swimming pool (11 x 5m), teak dining furniture and lounge chairs. There are several areas for dining and relaxing outdoors, including a courtyard with flowers and a 15th century Orangerie, with its original stone floor. The interior is equally atmospheric.

The living room retains its original stone fireplace and stone floors but adds TV with English programmes. Both the formal dining room and the kitchen have fireplaces, and the kitchen a fax and internet connection. On this level there’s also a double en-suite bedroom. The master bedroom with en-suite bath and shower is on the first floor in the West tower. The East tower contains an en-suite twin. On the second floor both towers have en-suite double bedrooms.

Further accommodation is in a self-contained cottage within the grounds, with an en-suite double bedroom, sitting room and small kitchen on the ground floor and a twin and a double loft bedroom on the first floor.

OPINION
A charming chateau that has been beautifully restored by its American owner. The stairs up to the towers are all original stone and uneven in places which are not suitable for the elderly or very young children.
ACCOMMODATION
Main Chateau four double bedrooms, one twin. Maximum 10 guests. Cottage two double bedrooms, one twin bedroom. Maximum 6 guests. Maximum 16 guests in total.
STAFF Guardians live close by. Rental includes two hours maid service daily. An additional two hours daily maid service must be paid for locally.

Riberac ten mins drive, Verteillac ten mins, Angouleme (TGV) 45 mins, Bordeaux (airport) 120 mins.
