Dating from 1760 , L'Ermitage is a village manoir set on the edge of the Perchament wine area of the Dordogne, east of Bergerac.
The property is accessed via wrought iron gates and has two and half hectares of garden containing lawn , a fenced in pool with teak furniture and a barbecue with dining area. At the front of the house lies a paved dining area and children swings.
The entrance hall has all principle rooms to the left overlooking the garden. A large dining room seats 10 and the library / TV room has DVD, VCR, Satellite TV , a DVD/VCR library and has French windows leading to the garden. There is also a formal salon, a billiard room and well equipped play room and kitchen. A utility room houses the washer/dryer and fridge freezer.
Up on the first floor are six double bedrooms; one four-poster bedroom with ensuite bathroom, another four-poster bedroom and double bedroom sharing a bathroom. Another landing leads to another bedroom with four-poster bed and en-suite bathroom. Then there is another double bedroom and king-sized bedroom sharing a bathroom. All the bathrooms have baths , double sinks and three have separate showers.
The house manager can organise a variety of activities for guests including riding and painting lessons for younger guests and private wine tours and cooking lessons for older guests. Activities for the energetic nearby include tennis, golf , horse riding and sailing.
