Panoramic sea views Walking distance to beach Swimming pool From its stunning position on the French Atlantic coast between the fashionable seaside resort of Biarritz and the beautiful Basque fishing port of St. Jean de Luz, La Maison Tamarin has panoramic views to the Pyrenees and over the ocean. The house has been built in the style of a traditional Basque farmhouse and is tastefully decorated, with oak ceiling beams and doors, and Spanish terracotta floor tiles. The large living room has French doors opening to terraces, a dining room with several separate tables with panoramic sliding doors, and a fully-equipped kitchen, with two double/twin en-suite bedrooms also on this level. Stairs lead up to the first floor, with three doubles and two double/twin bedrooms all en-suite with TVs, some with balconies. A steep flight of stairs, dangerous for young children but ideal for teenagers, lead up to a mezzanine where three beds can be added. The gardens include terraces and a 17m x 6m swimming pool, with great views. The coast here is known for its surf, with rafting, fishing, sailing, windsurfing, tennis and horse riding available, 11 superb golf courses and several spas close by, and a ski resort within an hour’s drive.
