This superb chateau has been beautifully restored to its original elegance, with spacious, light rooms furnished with antique furniture and works of art. Entry is into a large reception hall with access to the formal terrace, a large salon and a formal 18th century dining room. The large vaulted kitchen, fully equipped with the latest equipment, has an informal dining. Up on the first floor is the master with king-size bed and a single bed, one king and one queen both with en-suite bathrooms. The second floor is made up of a twin bedroom , two bedrooms with three beds and a king-size bedroom with single bed plus two separate bathrooms.

The estate grounds include a swimming pool (12 x 5m), tennis, boules, volleyball, table tennis and fishing in the large lake. It is set in the Parc de Morvan, with its fast flowing streams, waterfalls and wooded valleys, where horseback riding and mountain biking are favoured ways to explore.

OPINION

Set at the heart of one of France’s most beautiful natural regions, as well as being amongst fine vineyards and superb restaurants, this is an elegant and cultured property. It would make an ideal base from which to explore all the local attractions, including some of the finest wine estates in the world.

ACCOMMODATION

Two king-size bedrooms with single beds, one king-size, one queen-size, one twin and two three bedded rooms. Maximum 18 guests.
