This stunning chateau, built between 1680 and 1720, is set within its own 50- acre estate. Chateau Du Mont has been restored to the highest standards with top quality materials such as marble floors and ornate wood panelling on 3 of the 4 floors, offering spacious and luxurious accommodation. A large marble floored hall runs from the front to the back of the house where it opens onto a large stone terrace which looks out over the fountains that dominate the back garden. The ground floor has superbly decorated formal rooms whilst the garden floor has marble flooring and oak panelling throughout, with an enormous working fireplace, the arms of the chateau engraved over the mantelpiece. French windows run along the entire south wall, giving direct access to the gardens at the back.

The gardens are extensively landscaped with mature flower beds full of hydrangeas and hundreds of roses. The gardens are surrounded by fields and woods which also form part of the grounds, ensuring complete seclusion. In front of the chateau, there is a formal entrance drive (half a mile long) which has lawns on either side, flanked by mature trees. The back garden has a formal arrangement with fountains in the centre, and a consecrated chapel, which has been used for weddings and christenings, along with another pavillion, forms its boundaries.
At the east border of the main garden you will find a formal, walled, Italian
garden, with statues and several "outside rooms", on the other side. A path enters the woods from the orchard and leads down to a small spring and a stream.

The chateau is in a secluded position in the country on the edge of a charming valley, between the two large market towns of Pont L'Eveque (famous for its cheese) and Pont Audemer. The picturesque medieval port of Honfleur is less than 15 minutes (12km) away by car, whilst Deauville, with its international shops, great beaches and casino, is only 20 minutes (22 km). Other attractions include the landing beaches (35 minutes)and Monet's garden in Giverny (1 hour). The region is a rural one, consisting of fine scenery and unspoilt countryside that is world-renowned for its gastronomy - including cheese and Calvados. There are three excellent golf courses within 15 minutes of Deauville, whilst the stunning golf course of Champ de Bataille is 50 km away. For day-to-day needs, Chateau Du Mont is only 3km from the busy village of Beuzeville with a good variety of shops and several restaurants.

The ferry ports of Le Havre and Caen are close, and there are good motorway links to Paris (1.5 hours) and Calais (2.5 hours).
