This 14th century priory has been recently restored and furnished by the present owners. Situated in the heart of Pressigny village and next to the church, it stands in splendour within its own private, enclosed grounds. The church walls with its stained glass windows create part of the boundary of the garden and is used just a few times a year, it no longer holds a regular service. 

The very quiet and private garden of Le Prieure is mature and is filled with flower beds, fruit trees and lawns with plenty of shaded areas to escape the heat of the summer. The tall entrance gates are automatically controlled from a portable control and hence this makes the garden secure.

The interior is filled with antiques and objects d'art, tapestry wall hangings, chandeliers and draped beds all give a luxurious feel to the property that can be enjoyed at all times of the year. The garden cottage, with disabled access, is in the grounds and is ideal for members of the party wanting their own privacy. It is completely self contained with its own bathroom, open plan living area with double bed plus an additional twin bedroom.

Located just 45 minutes south of Saumur near the Loire, it is the ideal location from which to explore. This area has many footpaths and you are able to set off on a nature trail on foot, horseback or by bicycle and discover the unspoilt countryside. There are numerous stretches of water, lakes, ponds or swimming pools for water sports lovers. Golfers can improve their swing on courses surrounded by the most luscious greenery. In the Haut Poitou wine growing area, vineyards can be easily visited for wine tasting.
