This spacious village house is situated in the pretty village of Paradou. It has an atrractive white-shuttered stone faade looking down over a terrace with vine-covered dining area and a private lawned rear garden, surrounded by trees. Towards the end of the garden a row of lavender and two cypress trees shelter a long narrow swimming pool (14m x 3m), reached by a few steps. It is just as delightful inside, with the kitchen/dining room and two sitting rooms, including an open fireplace for mild winter evenings, telephone/fax, TV and CD player, all connected by archways, very tastefully furnished with white painted beamed ceilings, country antiques and white furnishings on terracotta tiled floors. All the rooms on the ground floor open onto the terrace, itself furnished with table and chairs in wrought iron, for shady lunches and long summer evenings. The kitchen has an ante-kitchen to give space for extra equipment including washing machine and dryer, and there’s also a ground-floor bathroom. Stairs lead up to the first floor, where there are three double bedrooms, a twin bedroom, two separate bathrooms and a en-suite twin/double bedroom. In the immediate area are countless famous and charming villages and towns, including Les Baux de Provence, St. Remy de Provence, and Arles, with their refined selection of shops and restaurants.

OPINION

A beautifully furnished property in the heart of a typical provenal village. The interiors are stunning and have been featured in various interior design magazines, therefore not suitable for young children.The pool is also a traditional 'basin' style which would suit older guests.

ACCOMMODATION

Three double bedrooms, one twin/double, one twin. Maximum ten guests.

STAFF

Maid service included three hours a day, six days a week.

Paradou, village shops 1 min walk, Mausanne 5 mins drive, St Remy de Provence 15 mins, Marseille airport 60 mins.
