This superbly restored provenal farmhouse is set on a hill , with expansive views over the lavender fields of the Luberon Valley to the villages on the far hillside. Situated just a few minutes drive from the medieval town of Gordes , the house is set in a large garden , terraced on several levels, with oak and olive trees providing shade.
The south facing terrace offers the perfect place for al fresco dining and there is a wonderful curved "infinity" swimming pool (12 x 8m).
The house is elegantly furnished , with a large sitting room , television room , dining room and a large well-equipped kitchen with all mod cons including coffee machine and icemaker. All rooms have beautiful southern views over the unspoilt countryside. On the lower level there is living room with a home cinema and selection of DVDs, one en-suite twin bedded room , one en-suite double bedroom and an en-suite bedroom with French double bed. On the second floor there are two further double bedrooms and another bedroom with a French double bed,all en-suite. In this region made famous by Peter Mayle , many of the area’s famous hilltop villages are only a short drive, with countless vineyards and specialist restaurants also within easy reach.
OPINION
With its wonderful terraced gardens and views, La Bastide offers an unforgettable taste of southern France. Its elegant interiors combine with the latest comforts of the present day to make it an excellent place to spend holidays. There are a variety of good restaurants within striking distance that will only add to the experience.
ACCOMMODATION
Three double bedrooms, one twin and 2 bedrooms with French double beds. Maximum 10 guests.
STAFF
Housekeeping/maid service included four hours daily. The maid will prepare breakfast and do general cleaning. Cook on request.

Gordes 10 mins, Avignon 30 mins, Marseille (airport) 45 mins.
