Set in amongst 20 hectares of private vineyards, cherry and olive trees and fields of lavender, this charming provenal house offers a tranquil, rural home in the heart of some of France’s most beautiful countryside. The villa dates back more than 500 years, but has recently been lovingly modernised, adding the latest comforts to an elegant, period dwelling. On the ground floor there is a generously sized living room with fireplace, a well-equipped kitchen and a dining room opening onto a shaded terrace, furnished for outdoor dining. The main house has two doubles and a twin all en-suite on the first floor then a double and a bedroom with two sets of bunks sharing a bathroom , suitable for children , on the lower ground floor leading to the garden. Close to the main building is the Guest House, containing a further double bedroom and a twin, sharing a bathroom. Outside, there is a large 12m x 6m swimming pool, spacious lawned gardens, and countless rural walks heading off in every direction. The atmospheric village of Lourmarain is just a few miles away, and the towns of Avignon and Aix-en-Provence are within easy reach.

OPINION

A beautiful provenal property that has been thoughtfully designed and furnished to a high standard. It is particularly good for families with its accommodation set up and would be a truly relaxing place to holiday in the heart of Provence.

ACCOMMODATION

Main House two double bedrooms, two twins, one room with bunk beds for four children. Guest house one double bedroom, one twin. Maximum 8 adult guests and four children.

STAFF

Housekeeper included four hours a day, five days a week. Live in guardian responsible for maintaining the pool and gardens.

Lourmarin 10 mins drive, Avignon 40 mins, Aix-en-Provence 40 mins, Marseille (airport) 70 mins.
