Villa Serres is situated in a quiet and prestigious residential area, less than two kilometres from the charming village of St Paul de Vence with its cobbled streets , art galleries and fine restaurants. From the property there are views to La Colle sur Loup , the dramatic hills above Vence and particularly the Baou de St Jennet. The property is approached through electronically operated gates down a cypress-lined driveway to a generous parking area in front of the house. The exterior of the house , grounds and swimming pool can be beautifully lit after dark, using either the remote control or fixed swtich inside the property.
The property is divided into two. The main house is 160 square metres with a living area on the ground floor opening onto a beautifully furnished terrace overlooking the swimming pool (8m x 4m). There is a master bedroom suite with private terrace; a cloakroom and a well equipped kitchen with dining area. There is satellite television in the living room and a sound system. Up on the first floor there are two double bedrooms with wonderful views one large bathroom. There is also a study/office. At one end of the terrace there is covered area with a large table and built in seating, ideal for al fresco dining. Below the terrace is the pool which can be heated on request. The independent guest house of 60 square metres is decorated and furnished in a typically simple Provencal style, comprising an entrance hall; living room opening on to its own terrace and secluded garden; two double bedrooms; one bathroom; one shower room; open plan kitchen at one end of the living room; exterior built-in barbecue area with dining furniture.
OPINION
A Charming property of exceptional quality and design. It has wonderful views and great facilities including a swimming pool that can be heated on request. The property is only suitable for babies and children over 10 years old as the floors are stone , and there are unprotected drops.
