This exceptional 18th century manor house is situated in the charming village of Paradou, conveniently close to the local shops, with grocery, baker, and butcher all close at hand. A gravel path leads to a charming courtyard, adorned with typically provenal plants and the superb original faade of the house. Built on three levels, the ground floor is given over to storage and utilities, with the principal accommodation being set on the first and second floors. The house has recently been restored in a monastic but comfortable and characterful style, with very nice antiques, while original features, such as the large open fireplaces in both living and dining rooms and stone stairs, have been preserved. The kitchen is very well equipped, and the dining room opens onto a terrace, leading on to the swimming pool and outside dining area. On the same level there is also an en-suite double bedroom, with fireplace and satellite TV/VCR. Stairs lead up to a WC with laundry off a half landing, and continue up to the second floor, where there is a double bedroom and twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a double bedroom and single bed with TV, dressing and en-suite bathroom.

OPINION


The Mas Barban is set near to village shops and the famous restaurant ‘Le Bistrot du Paradou’. It is tastefully furnished and would make an excellent holiday base in the heart of one of the region's prettiest villages.

Three doubles, one with extra single bed and one twin. Maximum eight guests.
