Built as a windmill in the 18th century and still functioning until the 1930’s, this has been beautifully converted to a character residence, and uniquely in Provence has many of its internal mechanisms preserved. The ground level contains a small but well-equipped kitchen and shower room, with steps down to a vaulted salon with CD player and English-language satellite TV, and dining area. Steps lead up to a master bedroom with a king-size bed and office area with telephone point for internet access and a second double bedroom with access to a private courtyard and en-suite shower room. A garden utility room contains a washing machine, dryer, and a second fridge-freezer. On the first floor there is a separate living area with two single beds and access to a large terrace, with steps leading down to the garden. There is also a second floor living room with a divan and rollaway bed. Situated near the village of Goult and surrounded by neighbouring vineyards, the mill is set in a small garden with a 7.5m x 4.5m pool, and enjoys panoramic views.

OPINION

Equally suitable for a honeymoon couple, or a small family, this beautifully restored rural windmill is the perfect base for a romantic sojourn or a delightful family holiday. The garden is quite small, but has a good-sized swimming pool, and is surrounded by vineyards with wonderful views.

ACCOMMODATION

Two double bedrooms and two single beds. Maximum four to six guests.

STAFF

Maid service once per week, for bookings of two weeks or more. Additional hours on request.
