This stunning and unique property has a most dramatic location, nestled into the rocks at Les Baux de Provence. Below the property stretch fields of olive groves and vineyards and from the terraces there are the most magnificent views. With the building pinned to the side of a cliff, the actual rocks have been incorporated into the design of the house, forming part of the walls in most of the rooms, offset by cream stone floor tiles and exposed beamed ceilings. Entrance to the ground floor is via a sun terrace , furnished for outdoor dining , into a large living/dining room with CD player and fireplace, and kitchen at one end. The master bedroom is also on this level, with a double bed set in stone, a fireplace and doors to the terrace, and a bathroom with a large bath surrounded by pot plants, statues and rock, and a raised daybed. The lower level houses two double bedrooms, one en-suite, and a bathroom which also houses a washing machine. Both bedrooms on this level open out to a second beautiful terrace, swimming pool and sun deck with pot plants, sun loungers and umbrellas. There is also a summer kitchen with grill, fridge and stereo system, and a dining area, and a small waterfall built in the rocks behind the terrace.

OPINION

With its wonderful views over the Les Alpilles countryside and its imaginatively conceived features, Les Baux would make an ideal holiday location.

Maid service included three hours a day, twice a week. Resident guardians.
