This attractive stone built farmhouse was completely and immaculately restored in 1995. The interiors are particularly light and comfortable. The owner has used authentic Tuscan materials, such as cotto floors, beamed ceilings and exposed brickwork, and hand-made wooden flooring throughout on the second floor. Built on sloping ground, the ground floor contains a covered patio, a large kitchen/dining room, traditionally decorated in Tuscan style, a sitting room with open fireplace and a bathroom with shower. Stairs lead up to the first floor, where there are two double bedrooms, a single, bathroom shower and small terrace. Further accommodation is on the lower level, accessed from the garden, where there is a double bedroom, another kitchen and shower bathroom, perfect for friends who wish to have occasional private moments. Outside Broccolo has a covered dining area and a large, level, lawned garden, completely fenced and surrounded by trees. Some 50m from the house is the 12m x 6m swimming pool surrounded by a small sun terrace with loungers, close to a patio with dining area, perfect for al fresco meals.

OPINION

With its fully fenced gardens, surrounded by trees, and casual, unpretentious facilities this villa is superb for families, with self-contained accommodation on the lower level, separately accessed, perfect for friends travelling together who want some independence.

Three double bedrooms, one single. Maximum seven guests.

STAFF

Maid service is included for nine hours a week.

San Leonardo in Treponzio (shops) 2 mins drive, Lucca 24 mins, motorway 10 mins, beaches 30 mins, Pisa (tower, airport) 30 mins, Florence 60 mins.
