This old farmhouse is beautifully set in a uniquely scenic position, overlooking the plain of Lucca to the lake of Bientina. The owners have totally restored the property using authentic materials, including old terracotta tiles and beamed ceilings. The main house has a double en-suite bedroom and a Tuscan style kitchen/dining room on the ground floor, opening onto the glorious terrace and gardens. On the first floor is the sitting room, a double bedroom, two twins and a shower bathroom. The old hayloft, attached to the main house, has been converted to an independent apartment, accessed from the terrace, with its own sitting/dining room and kitchen below and large double bedroom on the first floor. Next to this a small barn has also been converted to provide a sitting room with kitchenette and double bed on a platform above, reached by rather steep stairs. The three buildings blend harmoniously into an L-shape overlooking gently sloping gardens, with the 12m x 6m swimming pool, surrounded by sun terrace, hanging on the edge of the magnificent views. An English speaking housekeeper lives at the back of the house in a completely independent apartment and is available for cooking on request.

OPINION

With its three self-contained units, pool and glorious views, this wonderful property is ideal for families travelling together, or parties of friends who prefer the option to stay semi-detached at times.

ACCOMMODATION

Main House two double bedrooms, two twins; hayloft one double, barn one double. Maximum 12 guests.

STAFF

Maid service included three hours a day, three days a week.

Pisa (airport, tower) 45 mins drive, Florence 70 mins, motorway 20 mins, Lucca (railway station) 20 mins, Segromigno Monte (shops, post office) 5 mins.
