Casavecchia di Nozzole stands in a large garden with its own private pool. It has a spacious veranda overlooking rolling hills, vineyards and medieval villages, ideal for al fresco dining and evening aperitifs. The winery itself stands a few hundred yards from the house and the owner would be delighted to invite guests to special wine-tasting sessions, and to sign up for the the celebrated cuisine classes. The ground floor has terracotta floors and beamed ceilings, with a mixture of antique and rustic furniture and original works of art. A tasteful living room with fireplace leads to the dining room and a fully equipped kitchen and laundry. Stairs lead to the first floor, with a comfortable single room that also serves as a study and a central living room with doors to two double bedrooms, one with a changing room and en-suite shower, and a twin with en-suite shower. Outside a broad veranda overlooks a 10m x 5m pool with sun terrace and the surrounding vineyards.

OPINION

This is a charming property offering simple rather than formal accommodation, and with plenty of level lawned areas, it is ideal for young and old alike.
