Castello de Renai sits in an elevated position with superb views of the surrounding Tuscan countryside. With its tower dating back to the 13th century, this villa has been fully renovated and decorated to a very high standard offering guests luxurious living with modern amentities, including air-conditioning in all the bedrooms. On the ground floor the cosy living room with fireplace, is the centre point with a spacious and beautifully designed kitchen, a sumptuous dining room with French windows that access the courtyard and a reading room alcove with satellite TV. There is also one double bedroom, with en-suite Jacuzzi bathroom on this level. A beautiful marble staircase leads up to the first floor where there are two double bedrooms each with en-suite Jacuzzi bathrooms and two twin bedrooms, with their own shower room and bathroom respectively. There is also a laundry room and second staircase leading to the ground floor. The medieval tower beside the villa, has its own access and offers a living room on the ground floor and a double bedroom with its own small shower room on the first floor. The grounds include a lawned area to the front of the property, outdoor dining area enjoying the wonderful views and a 11m x 4.5m swimming pool set on a lower level.

OPINION

Castles have great views, and this is no exception. It’s a glorious place, beautifully furnished and decorated. The swimming pool is on a lower level, and not in sight of the main house, which can be an advantage to those with young children.

ACCOMMODATION

Four double bedrooms, two twins. Maximum 12 guests.

STAFF

Maid service three hours a day, six days a week.

Castel Fiorentino (shops) 2 mins drive, Florence 30 mins, Siena 50 mins, Pisa 60 mins.
