Il Leccio dates back to the seventeenth century in the Mansi Bernardini estate and is sited on top of a hill. The ground floor rooms are beautifully presented, with exposed wooden beams and cool stone floors. A large living room with fireplace, TV room with satellite TV and VCR, both open onto the garden. There is a further small sitting room and a large, well-equipped kitchen and dining room. The bedrooms are on the first floor, with two double and four twin bedrooms, two en-suite and the others sharing two bath/shower rooms. The swimming pool, 14m x 7m, is in a breathtaking position about 150 metres from the house, with a summer kitchen and bathroom.

There is a tennis court on the estate and the estate office has English speaking staff for local information and services.

OPINION

This tastefully-restored farm manager’s house is close to all Tuscany’s great attractions and is a tasteful, but not formal, home from home.

ACCOMMODATION

Two double bedrooms, four twins. Maximum 12 guests.

STAFF

Maid service is included in the price, four hours a day, five days per week for general cleaning and laundry.

Segromigno Monte (shops) 5 mins drive, Capannori (motorway) 20 mins, Lucca 20 mins, Pisa (airport) 40 mins, Florence 60 mins, Forte dei Marmi (beaches) 35 mins.
