La Calandrina is situated in the hills close to the village of Mutigliano and only 5 kms northwest of Lucca, in a panoramic position. Recently restored, preserving the ancient frescoes, original floors and beamed ceilings, but at the same time equipping the villa to a very high standard. Every room is furnished with antiques, and all bedrooms are fitted with en-suite bathrooms. On the ground floor there is an elegant dining room, a sitting room, and kitchen, while there is a further large sitting room on the first floor, along with two double bedrooms and two twin bedrooms. Further accommodation is found on the second floor, with two sitting rooms, two twin bedrooms and a double bedroom.

Outside, the gardens are simple and uncluttered, with a 7m x7m swimming pool surrounded by decking. Next to the villa, is an apartment for the housekeeper: with an independent garden and entrance, this in no way interferes with guests’ privacy.

OPINION

This elegantly restored villa would suit a group of friends relaxing by the sundecked pool enjoying la dolce vita.

ACCOMMODATION

Three double bedrooms, four twins. Maximum 12 guests.

STAFF

Maid service is included four hours a day, five days a week.
