This outstanding villa is rented with the adjacent farmhouse, creating additional accommodation for larger groups. Both houses date from the 16th century, and retain all their historic features. However, modern amenities have been added to create an extremely high standard of comfort. The main house has an entrance hall, a sitting room with fireplace, a small sitting room with fireplace and TV, a dining room, kitchen opening to a conservatory and a breakfast room opening onto an outdoor dining area. There are also two twin bedrooms, both en-suite, on this level. On the first floor there is a twin bedroom with sitting/dressing room and a further twin bedroom, both en-suite. The guest house has a sitting room, kitchen/dining room and single en-suite bedroom on the ground floor and a twin bedroom with sitting/dressing room and a further twin bedroom, both en-suite, above.

Outside, a well maintained garden surrounds the house with a swimming pool (12m x 6m)and, on one side, a large centuries-old oak tree, shading an outdoor dining area, with spectacular views. The owners have kept two farmhouses, about 80m from the villa, to use occasionally during the summer, but will not interfere with guests' privacy.

OPINION

With two separate buildings, Villa Igea is ideal for two or three families travelling together, with high quality accommodation in a secluded environment.

ACCOMMODATION

Main house four twin bedrooms, maximum eight guests. Guest House two twin bedrooms, one single, maximum five guests. Maximum 13 guests in total.

STAFF

Maid service is included in the price five hours a day, five days a week.

DISTANCES

San Martino in Freddana (food shops, bank) ten mins drive, Lucca 20 mins, Pisa (airport) 25 mins, beaches 35 mins.
