Tiziano is a splendid 16th-century villa, owned by one of Florence’s oldest families and respected wine makers, it stands on a hill overlooking the Tizzano Chianti vineyards. With traditional vaulted interiors, antique furnishings and elegant appointments this imposing property offers spacious accommodation for larger groups. On the ground floor there is a living room with fireplace, a library also with fireplace, a grand ballroom, elegant dining room, and traditional kitchen. A sweeping staircase leads up to the first floor, where there are three double bedrooms each with en-suite bathroom and a fourth double/twin bedroom. Stairs lead up to the second floor where there is a further bedroom with queen size bed, fireplace and bathroom with tub and shower and two twin bedrooms, both with fireplace, that share a shower bathroom. Two further double bedrooms complete the sleeping accommodation. Outside there are large formal gardens overlooking the Florentine countryside, a shady outside dining area and a glorious infinity-edge swimming pool.
OPINION
This substantial property in the heart of the Florentine countryside, with its elegant, vaulted interiors, formal gardens and glorious infinity-edge pool, is ideal for groups of friends travelling together, celebrations, or even families with a taste for refinement and luxury. Parents of small children should be warned that the infinity-edge pool, spilling over into glorious views, is sheltered and not easy to supervise.
