Villa Monte was built 400 years ago on a hillside overlooking the Val d'Arno. Surrounded by 125 acres of olive groves, woodlands and vineyards, it is a particularly peaceful location. Inside, the rooms are immaculately furnished with traditional country style furnishings. On the ground floor is a well-equipped oak kitchen with breakfast area, and a dining room opening to the terrace. The entrance hall is on the first floor, opening to a living room, a sitting room with satellite TV, and shower bathroom. The bedrooms are all on the second floor, with three double bedrooms, a twin bedroom, and a further twin bedroom suitable for children, with two extra trundle beds giving extra capacity. The bedrooms are served by a shower bathroom and a second large bathroom. The gardens surrounding the house are beautifully kept by the resident caretakers, who live in a separate part of the villa. On a large terrace to one side of the house is the 18m x 7m swimming pool with diving board. There is also a covered area with dining table and barbeque, and wonderful views over the valley, ideal for al fresco meals.

OPINION

This traditional farmhouse with its very own pets corner is ideal for families with younger children. Simply but comfortably furnished with resident staff offering warm hospitality this villa offers great value for money in a wonderful setting.

ACCOMMODATION

Three double bedrooms, one twin bedroom, one child’s room with twin beds and two trundle beds. Maximum 12 guests.

STAFF

Daily maid service included two hours a day, five days a week. Additional hours, cooking and babysitting available on request.

San Donato in Fronzano 2 mins drive, tennis and riding 10 mins, Reggello 7 mins, Florence 40 mins, Incisa (motorway) 20 mins, Pisa (airport) 90 mins.
