This beautiful property is located in a panoramic position in the southern part of Tuscany, only 15 kms from Montepulciano and 15 kms away from the town of Cortona, known not only for its beauty, but also as the setting for the book 'Under the Tuscan Sun' by Frances Mayes. The new English owner has recently bought and completely restored the original farmhouse to a very high standard, furnishing the interiors with all modern comforts, such as a computer for accessing e-mails, satellite TV, video and stereo, yet retaining a typical Tuscan atmosphere. The main house is built on two storeys, with a kitchen/dining room and sitting room on the ground floor, both opening to the garden, and two twin and two double bedrooms, all en-suite, on the first floor. The Guest House is set on one level, with a dining room, kitchen, and sitting room as well as two double bedrooms and two twin bedrooms, sharing two bathrooms with shower only. The grounds include a 14m x 7m swimming pool, set in a very sunny part of the garden and served by a changing room and guest bathroom.

OPINION

With accommodation divided between two terracotta-brick farmhouses, this property gives two families, or groups of friends, the chance to holiday together with independence. The main house provides the better accommodation.

ACCOMMODATION

Main House: two double and two twin bedrooms, maximum eight guests. Guest House: two double and two twin bedrooms, maximum eight guests. Maximum 16 guests in total.

STAFF

Maid service is included three hours a day, six days a week (excluding Sundays).
