Molino
d'Ambra is a typical Tuscan farmhouse immersed in
a green and peaceful location. Its antique charm
is still intact as restoration was performed with
careful attention to traditional materials and the
typical architectural features.
Located in the Val d'Ambra area, that takes its
name from the river that runs through the valley
before flowing into the Arno, on the border of the
Chianti region, it is an ideal location for
pleasant walks across these luxuriant hills and
for day trips exploring Siena, Arezzo and
Florence.
The
ancient village of Ambra, originally a castle and
nowadays a small town, is just a stone's throw
from the house with nice shops and a few
restaurants where you can taste great Tuscan
cuisine.
Inside,
the villa has been renovated with great taste and
attention to details. It is furnished with a mix
of country style and great pieces of antique
furnishings. The coloured walls and hand made
tiled bathrooms contribute to give to the house a
warm and homely atmosphere.
The dependence close to the swimming pool houses a
large barbecue, a traditional wood burning oven to
experience great pizza-making classes, and a sauna
to relax after a day out.
