Luxury Vacation Villas & Chateau Rentals in Italy - Italian Coast
Palazzi
di Principe
Tuscany
Palazzo di Principe is an exquisitely restored
and decorated 15th-century historical villa (20
000SF) set in a 30-hectare hilltop wine estate
just outside Florence: awesome views over the
estate's vineyards, olive groves, and villages to
to the surrounding hills.
The estate villa may be taken exclusively for a
private group but, at most times of the year,
individual levels or suites maybe rented in the
villa; in addition simple or duplex suites may be
rented in the adjacent hotel.
The property is located off a quiet country
road and a long drive leads past the Palazzo
Annexe to parking for over fifteen cars: from the
reception, a short walk leads to high, wrought
iron gates opening into the villa gardens.
Twin staircase to the double entry doors: large
central hallway-seating area opening up onto a
long wide terrace with frescoes, expansive seating
areas for lunches and pre-dinner drinks, and
lovely views over the gardens with a
uniquely-designed distant keyhole view of the
Duomo cupola framed by a nearby forest.
Off the hallway: large very beautiful main
salon and formal dining room for 20 as well as the
Royal Wing housing an opulent master suite
comprising master bedroom with giant silver bed,
mosaic Jacuzzi, and priceless marble his and hers
bathrooms plus two very luxurious double bedrooms
each with superb bathrooms.
Upper Floor: five VIP suites each with en-suite
bathrooms and one with extra bedroom; very large
terrace offering staggeringly beautiful views of
Florence and the Tuscan countryside.
The bedrooms vary in size from comfortably
spacious to extremely generous and have beautiful
state-of-the-art marble bathrooms with white
retro-style porcelain vanities, towel heaters,
lovely tiles, cotta or marble floors and decorated
ceilings.
The décor is the epitome of Italian good
taste with marble and old-style terracotta floors,
hand stuccoed walls in various pastel colours,
decorated ceilings and Tuscan ceilings with the
beautiful exposed chestnut beams and tiles as well
as a host of decorative refinements.
The furnishings are a tasteful blend of the
finest quality original antique Italian pieces and
high-quality modern pieces including Asian and
South African furniture; fine rugs and curtains,
gilded mirrors and wall lights, giant vases,
chandeliers; elegant lamps, old masters, antique
etchings, old botanical prints and objets d'art as
well as fine collectables all combining to create
a wonderful atmosphere with light, colour and
beauty everywhere.
The villa is superbly equipped with very good
quality dinnerware, cutlery and glasses as well as
fine household linen and bathrobes;
air-conditioning throughout, satellite TV, CD
player, Bose surround-sound stereo system,
automatic lighting, interphone, barbecue, teak
garden furniture and good alarm system are among
the refinements of this elegant and historic home.
At the lower level of the villa: large and
elegant wellness centre with arched brick and
exposed-beam Tuscan ceilings: spa offering beauty
treatments, gym with cutting-edge machines, and a
long lap swimming pool.
The wellness centre has its own dining room for
exceptionally romantic private dinner parties.
The villa is fully staffed and has a resident
executive chef: up to 36 extra guests can be
lodged in the Palazzo Annexe which has its own
restaurant and large swimming pool area.
The partially walled gardens are beautifully
laid out and immaculately maintained: vast lawns;
various species of trees; to the front of the
villa in a secluded area of the gardens, 45-foot,
Roman-style swimming pool surrounded by sunbathing
areas with loungers; large sculpture garden; at a
lower level to the rear, extensive grounds with
some delightful ponies for the children to play
with.
The villa gardens are within a 300-hectare
estate with vineyards and olive groves for
producing the house wines and olive oil: a private
helipad allows effortless access from all major
European cities or Florence and Pisa airports.
A very charming village nearby with its narrow
lanes is home to a traditional trattoria with a
wonderful pizza restaurant just five minutes away.
The Palazzo estate is within the Chianti area:
wine-tasting visits to the classic vineyards can
be arranged as can hot-air balloon tours of the
Tuscan countryside; or the latest Ferraris,
Masseratis, and Porsches can be hired for local
touring.
Florence is under half an hour away: guided
shopping safaris can be arranged; Florentine
goldsmiths and jewellers will, upon request, offer
private showings at the Palazzo or in their own
private showrooms; private museum and art gallery
visits can be arranged; pre-arrival bookings in
Florence's finest restaurants can be made for
guests.
The Roman walled city of Lucca as well as the
classic Tuscan centres like Greve in Chianti, San
Gimignano, and Siena are all within an hours
drive.
Palazzo di Principe is ideal for a large
family, a major corporate group,or a wedding
celebration party seeking total peace and absolute
privacy in supremely elegant and luxurious
surroundings within easy reach of Florence and the
unique Chianti and Tuscan countryside.
