Decorated in classical Portuguese style with warm-coloured
fabrics against typical blue tiled walls, the antiques, wood panelled floors and
ceilings echo the region’s rich history. There is a large drawing room, wood
panelled library/TV room and billiard room. Five bedrooms, four bathrooms and
one single bedroom (accessed via a steep staircase behind a "secret" cupboard in the dining room!) offer comfortable accommodation for ten guests. The grounds total 3 hectares, mostly working farmland, with pathways threading between citrus orchards and vegetable gardens, a duck pond, lawned areas, the all weather tennis court and the elevated swimming pool (13.4m x 6.5m). Gentle bridleways/cycle paths circle the grounds, with plenty of bikes for guest use and there’s a riding paddock, where locally-hired horses can be ridden. Other games include billiards, table tennis and table football. For special occasions there are two large function rooms, one newly-built for 50, while the other is the old wine cellar, now converted to cater up to 100 people.
OPINION
This property is ideal for special occasions and those looking to experience a totally unique and Portuguese atmosphere. At dusk, the distant city lights of ancient Lisbon and sunsets seen from the terrace are unforgettable. There are also numerous activities available to keep both young and old occupied.
ACCOMMODATION
One double, two double/twin, two twin and one single bedroom. Maximum ten guests.
STAFF
Staff of four to clean, food shop, prepare and serve three meals a day. English-speaking manager.

Alcochete (cafes/restaurants/supermarket) 5 mins walk, Arrabida Beach 20 mins drive, Quinta do Peru (golf) 30 mins, Lisbon Airport 20 mins.
