Set on the cliffs at Ferragudo, Casa da Infanta faces west over the bay of Lagos, within easy walking distance of a nearby fishing village. The villa itself has been completely refurbished, adding central heating and modernising the kitchen facilities but retaining its original character, with private chapel, exposed stonework and beds still bearing the family coat of arms. There is also a lift for easy access between levels. The chapel, formal dining room, breakfast room, music room and kitchen are on the ground floor, with two double bedrooms and two twin bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms. On the lower level there is an ensuite twin bedroom opening out to the pool terrace, a television room and bar. For parties of ten or less these two lower levels can be rented separately at a reduced price. Otherwise, the first floor contains one twin room ensuite, one quadruple room, also ensuite, and another twin bedroom ensuite with a sitting room and a second sitting room with single sofabed, the laundry room and terrace. The owners have requested that smoking be restricted to the television room or outside. The estate grounds are terraced, with a 12.5m x 5m swimming pool (step access) and a bar, before a private staircase leads down to the sea.

OPINION
Belonging to the Portuguese Royal Family, this regal villa is set on a quiet stretch of the Algarve coast, known for its golf. It's ideal for families travelling together.

ACCOMMODATION
Two double bedrooms, five twins, one quadruple bedroom, Maximum 18 guests.

STAFF
Resident housekeeper and gardener. Cleaning included five days a week. On request, the housekeeper will also prepare simple meals during alternate week-days, at an extra cost.

Beach 50 m away. Fishing village (shops, restaurant) 20 mins walk, Airport approx 50 mins drive.
