An old farmhouse, situated in 7 acres to ensure total
privacy and with attractive garden and terraces leading to a 10 x 5 metre mosaic
pool with a natural rock diving board. All are tastefully illuminated at night.The metre thick walls and terracotta floors keep the house cool in the heat of the Summer. A beautifully converted barn with a gallery and high beams is the principal sitting room with one door leading to a small courtyard and another that opens onto the garden. Off the gallery is the main bedroom with a balcony for private sun bathing.
One of the guest rooms is a tastefully converted stable on the ground floor with a door leading to the garden and pool.
There are staircases at each end of the house. Up the other staircase are two more bedrooms with stunning views over the property and on to the mountains. All four bedrooms each have their own bathrooms (one with shower) and air conditioning for Summer comfort. A well equipped kitchen is supplemented by a large utility room with washing and drying machines and, as well as a tiny library, there is an old studio available for artists or children.
There are vine covered terraces on each side of the house so that
it is always possible to find the sun or seek shelter in the heat of the day.
Each terrace has a teak table that seats 8/10. A double hammock under an ancient
carob tree provides the ultimate siesta.
As well as almonds, grapes and apricots, there is a prolific black fig tree which is a bonus for guests in September.
Attractions in the area are the local markets, golf courses at Pollensa and Alcanada, sailing school and boat hire. There are sandy beaches and safe swimming for children in the bay of Pollensa. The International Pollensa Festival provides classical concerts in the beautiful old cloisters, open to the warm evening air, throughout July and August. There is a wide variety of restaurants, both cosmopolitan on the coast and in the traditional cellars of the small local towns.
OPINION
A charming 18C Finca in a peaceful valley yet
close to both Alcudia , Pollensa and to one of the most beautiful bays in the
Mediterranean. Children of all ages are welcome but parents of toddlers should
be aware that there are steps throughout the house and uneven levels on the
terraces.
ACCOMMODATION
Two double bedrooms, two twin bedrooms. Max
eight guests.
STAFF
Housekeeper service four times per week with
additional hours on request. Gardener comes two days per week. Other services on
request include baby sitting and collection from the airport.

Alcudia - 10 minutes’ drive, Pollensa - 15
minutes, Port Pollensa - 10 minutes, Palma and Airport - 45 minutes
