This wonderful villa’s 22 acres are located on an island within the Sainte Anne Marine National Park, a string of lush, reef-girdled islands close to the main island, Mahe. The size and position leave this delightful villa wonderfully private, with 450 metres of beach sheltered by the uninhabited Ile Cachee. The main house is designed in traditional Seychellois style, with deep, shady wooden verandas wrapped around the entire building, looking across the tree-filled gardens to the Indian Ocean. The triple-height open-plan living area is airy and spacious, with all the vaulting grace of a present-day cathedral, and the dining room, set around a ten-seater yellowwood table, is ideal for games and sociable parties.

This is surrounded by four bedrooms, three bathrooms (two ensuite) and a professional-quality kitchen , all air-conditioned (note - guests do not have access to the kitchen). Staff provides breakfast, lunch and dinner , afternoon tea and all soft drinks. The villa has its own orchards and untouched areas of indigenous trees. Electricity is supplied by an underwater cable from the mainland, but has its own generator and desalination plant for complete self-sufficiency.

The boat house contains speedboats to get around, a table tennis table and, being so close to the capital city, is convenient for chartering game-fishing or diving boats. Snorkelling starts from the beach, though it’s well worth taking a boat a few minutes up the coast, to flip over an awesome two-kilometre drop-off. The owners have requested no smoking in the house.

OPINION

Our view of Four Degrees is that it is quite simply paradise. This ultimately private hideaway is ideal for the most discerning of clients who can relax in complete privacy in the middle of the beautiful Indian Ocean, have access to a secluded beach and be sheltered by a beautiful island. Heaven.

Two double and two twin bedrooms. Maximum eight guests. Extra guests on request.

STAFF

Full Staff including a cook, 2 maids who will also do laundry 5 days a week, gardener.

DISTANCES

Ten minutes by boat to the main island, Mahe, with its international airport, shops and medical facilities.
