Set amongst tropical plants and leafy gardens, Baan Hen is an elegant but relaxed Thai home with high ceilings and wood floors, furnished with beautiful antiques and fitted with high-specification electronics and equipment. There are two kitchens here, one European and another Thai, where most food is prepared by your resident cook in typically theatrical style spectators welcome and served, outside or in the dining room. The master bedroom includes a fully equipped office with internet access and satellite TV, as well as a four-poster bed, en-suite bathroom with a sunken terrazzo. The salt water pool has an infinity edge cascading into a lower pool/Jacuzzi. Looking out over the lower pool and garden, the sala is a traditional breezy Thai room, ideal for relaxing and enjoying the wonderful views. In the lower part of the villa are three further twin/double bedrooms around a central playroom with satellite TV and DVD with travel cots and children’s toys available. This is also where you’ll find the Thai kitchen and the Maids quarters, a laundry and a garage for storage of golf clubs, etc, during your stay.

OPINION

This wonderful villa has updated the thoughtful, intensely liveable traditions of Thai architecture with the luxurious fitments of the present day. With its wonderful playroom and split-level pool, we believe this villa would be perfect for families or groups of friends.
