Thai dining Named after Thailand’s famous blue sapphire, Neela is set in a well protected development with stunning views over Surin beach, the luxurious Amanpuri hotel and Bangtao Bay, and is a modern luxury villa built with traditional Thai features. Opulent yet cosy, it is richly appointed with antiques collected from all over Asia. On the main floor is a gorgeous conservatory, master bedroom and an open-air sala enclosed in a Balinese-inspired pond, all surrounding a central lawn and the infinity-edge swimming pool. On the upper floor are three superbly elegant double bedrooms, two with Jacuzzi bathrooms but all en-suite and fully air-conditioned, as well as a further living/dining area fitted with daybeds and TV/DVD. In the area there are a selection of golf courses, beaches, temples and restaurants. The villa is set 50m above sea level, with Surin beach just below, while picturesque Laem Sing beach is just three minutes drive away. Guests at Villa Neela are met at the airport by Samuth in the villa’s own Honda CRV. He speaks some English and will be happy to drive you around through your stay: guests just supply the petrol.
