The accommodation is very open and airy, with high ceilings, ceiling fans and louvered French doors opening to the sea. The floors are all imported stone tiles and most of the furniture made especially for the property by craftsmen in Mexico and Morocco. All the seven bedrooms are large and have sea views, marble en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning, telephones and links for both computers and mobile televisions. The house is equipped with cable televisions, VCRs, DVDs, a stereo system and a library of books, videos, discs and games. There is also a fax machine, a cell phone and computer with internet access.

Within the landscaped grounds there is a tennis court and a well equipped fitness centre. The 12m x 7.5m swimming pool overlooks the sea and has a shallow edge, providing an ideal play space for young children. The surrounding deck is furnished with sun loungers and tables for dining 'al fresco' and a Jacuzzi is on a raised deck above the pool for night time star gazing.

OPINION

Our view is that, with its secure position in a gated estate right on the glorious beachfront of Barnes Bay, this villa is perfectly suited for children, though all ages will appreciate the wonderfully helpful staff and resort facilities which include a brand new Susan Cinimelli Spa.

ACCOMMODATION

Six double bedrooms, one twin bedroom and a television room that can convert into a separate en-suite bedroom. Maximum 16 guests.

STAFF

Staff of 14, including manager, chef, maids, butlers and security guard. Other services available on request include secretary, babysitter, additional security, personal trainer, tennis coach, masseuse, boat crew and brass bands. Kids Club on request.

DISTANCES

St Martin, with its shops and restaurants, 15 minutes by ferry or private charter.
