A long driveway winds through the park-like gardens, to a grand entrance with date palm in the centre, and into a hallway filled with plants. The main house and terrace sit 20m above sea level, positioned to take advantage of the cooling Caribbean breezes with light, airy and comfortable interiors coloured by Italian terracotta and polished local limestone floors, wooden shutters and paintings by local artists. The rooms open to a natural stone furnished terrace with a superb oval swimming pool (12 x 6m), 2.5m deep and with a small island in the middle, with a shallow wading area on one side. There is also a gazebo with sofas, hammocks and a dining table.

Facilities include an open-plan fully-equipped kitchen , a covered dining terrace and a games room with satellite tv. Accommodation is in three parts.The main house featuring the master bedroom with en-suite bathroom and two twin bedded rooms sharing bathroom. The cottage, with a double bedroom and en-suite bathroom and the garden apartment with double bedroom and ensuite shower room. All the bedrooms have ceiling fans. The property can be rented as a whole , or as a four bedroom villa.

There are steps leading down to the beach and there are boating marinas available within ten minutes.

OPINION

This villa would be recommended to a group of friends wishing to enjoy the annual calendar events in Antigua such as Carnival or the Antigua Classic Yacht and Sailing Week regattas. Families will also enjoy its space and nearby beach.
