Settlers Beach is a villa resort located right on the edge of a palm-fringed, white sand beach, on the popular west coast of Barbados. The 22 well appointed Barbadian style villas are set in four acres of lush, tropical gardens. Each has two twin air-conditioned bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, spacious living and dining room, cooled by ceiling fans, and a compact but well equipped kitchen. There’s no TV fitted as standard, but TV/VCR rentals can easily be arranged, and can baby cribs, cots and highchairs are all available. The two storey units feature a romantic balcony, while the bungalows have a shady internal courtyard.

A short walk through the gardens takes you to the fresh water swimming pool or, a few steps further on, to the beach where a good variety of watersports are available. Facilities for tennis and golf are available nearby. For those who do not want to self-cater for every meal, there is a very good beachfront restaurant, Starfish, which offers breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as pool snacks, a barbeque and weekly entertainment.

With its excellent facilities and beautiful beach, Settlers Beach is an ideal choice for families, who appreciate the spacious accommodation, extensive grounds and safe swimming, as well as more mature travellers who love the villa setting with its tranquillity and informality. The villas here offer a tropical ambiance, space and independence within a resort setting.
