This beautifully furnished villa, with pickled pine ceilings and coral stone arches, stands in a secluded position on the west coast of Mustique, overlooking the ocean and the islands of Bequia and St Vincent. Furnished to a very high standard in pale greens and creams,

Heron Bay is a spacious and airy property where one can enjoy the magnificent ocean views and the daily drama of sunset from the outdoor sitting area on the superb, colonial-style wrap-around veranda, from either of the bedrooms, or from the free-form pool. Steps up from the drive lead to the main entrance and into the open plan/living and dining rooms with surrounding archways, opening to the veranda and to the well-appointed kitchen.

The property has ceiling fans throughout and is well equipped with a stereo, cable TV, VCR, and DVD, as well as a selection of games and books. The bedrooms are set on a lower level, with two double bedrooms with king-size 4-poster beds, terraces, en-suite shower rooms and TV’s. A Second staircase leads to the swimming pool and sundeck including a shaded seating area, perfect for relaxing and reading.

OPINION

In our opinion this villa is ideal for couples. It’s not easy to find small villas of such a high standard, and this one is a gem: spacious and airy, well equipped and tastefully finished with full time staff.

Britannia Bay village (shops and Basil’s bar) is two minutes walk away. Nearest swimming and picnicking beach is 5 minutes drive. Cotton House Hotel and airport ten minutes drive.
