The Villa Ann is also known as ‘The Art House’ and it’s easy to see why. Furnishings are from Conran, Heals and Harrods, and the bedrooms showcase original works by four young English artists. The villa is halfway between the island’s tiny airstrip and equally tiny capital, and beautifully set just above one of the finest beaches with views of Tortue, St Martin and distant Anguilla. Surrounded by a broad, shady veranda the first-floor living room is a tranquil place of rattan furniture and interesting art work, with satellite TV installed. The dining room links to an outdoor dining area with barbecue, while the well-equipped kitchen would satisfy the most demanding chef.

The villa is surrounded by terraces on different levels, finding their focus around the 6m x 4m swimming pool. There are thr bedroom has a kingsize bed which can be made up as a twin, en-suite facilities and large French windows opening onto the pool area. Bedrooms two and three, with a double bed and twin beds respectively, share a bathroom. The whole villa is fully air-conditioned for your comfort.

OPINION

This villa has a wonderful setting and is designed in traditional colonial style with great views, a lush tropical garden, swimming pool and sun terraces. Its also idyllically set a short walk from Flamands Beach, one of the finest on St Barts. However , its not great for little ones due to some drops.

King/Twin bedroom, one double and one twin bedroom. Maximum six guests.
